I discovered YURiCa/Hanatan by a sheer coincidence and I'm very glad I did. She's a very talented singer with an incredible vocal range that allows her to perform songs in a wide variety of musical genres, from powerful rock and metal to pop, electric and dance. And boy does she succeed in every area that she tries! What I also like about Hanatan is that she never stops surprising you. Whether it's a completely new style or a voice technique, you can be always sure that you haven't heard everything she can do yet! In one song she astonishes you with her powerful 'rock voice' with incredible vibrato that gives you goose bumps and in the next song she takes a 180-turn and does an adorable, cheerful, almost childlike voice. And when you thought you finally have her figured out, she goes ahead and takes a shot at something that is almost like an opera! One of Hanatan's signature qualities is the emotion that she adds to the song. Even if you're listening to a cover, you haven't really heard the song until you heard Hanatan sing it! Somehow, she manages to add just the right amount of emotion to the song to make the feeling of it completely new and way more intense in parts where you didn't even think it was possible.
