独創的な創造力と映像表現で注目を集める雨宮慶太により、常に新しい挑戦を続けてきた『牙狼＜GARO＞』シリーズの劇場版最新作。今作は、その魅力の一つであったファンタジー要素を前面に押し出し、これまでのシリーズを知らなくても楽しめるエンターテインメント作品として完成。また、約7年に渡り続いてきた、最強の魔戒騎士・冴島鋼牙の物語は遂に本作で最後を迎え、小西遼生がその集大成に相応しく、強く美しいヒーロー像を演じる。そして、その敵役となる"約束の地"の支配者・女王ジュダムを日本アカデミー賞女優の松坂慶子が見事に熱演。今作で役者人生初のワーヤーアクションにも挑戦した松坂慶子は、少女の様に純真でありながら残忍な女王役をのびのびと演じており、更なる新境地を切り開く。 ――"ヒト"を守るため、大いなる力"ガジャリ"と契約した冴島鋼牙は、"嘆きの牙"を持ち返るために"約束の地"に降り立った。だがその瞬間、今まで戦いを共にしてきた牙狼剣、魔法衣、魔導輪を失ってしまう。鬱蒼とした森を抜けた鋼牙は、囚われていた少女・メルを救う。メルは自分のことを"モノ"だと言い、嘆きの牙の手掛かりは"知恵の祠"にあるかもしれないと鋼牙に教える。手がかりを得た鋼牙は、その祠を目指し歩みを進める・・・。 ライナーノーツ封入。
