I bought this brush recently and I know It might be a holy grail for some people but the top of the bristle is a bit prickly. I know it may sound kind of sacrilegious to some of you but I read many reviews on this brush before purchasing I have to say I am a bit disappointed it's not that soft. I haven't really used it much at all because I don't really like it. it's not the softest brushes amongst other high-end fude brushes.
Koyudo Fuwafuwa Powder Brush Customer Reviews
It is very soft bristle & have to carry out power on the average of face. Good customer service & delivery service!
This is the soft brush feels it reminds pile Saibikoho, collected smoothly, does not fade and do not drop out hairs.
This is such a wonderful brush, worth every cents! It is beautiful to look at, the weight of the brush is perfect, the shape of the head and density (denser than Fu-Pa 14) is just perfect for applying powder foundation or cream foundation. It is very soft (Fu-Pa 14 is a tad softer, perhaps because it is not as dense. If you were to purchase only ONE brush from KOYUDO, I would highly recommend this one. It is extremely versatile and such a beauty to look at!
I ordered this brush together with Koyudo Fupa 14, Fupa 1, Fupa 2 and some others in BP collection. I would say this: The strong point of this brush: Beautiful design and unique craftmanship. To be honest, you can find makie brushes in many brand: chikuhodo, koyudo.... but the brush with the handle made from 3 differents woods in mosaic style. You can not see similar brush's handle like Fuwafuwa in anywhere else!!! The weak point (and this is the reason why it archives 4 star): I do not have any saikoho brush before but in my imagination, I thought it should be very soft, similar like fupa 14, but it's not. Me and my husband have done the blind test between 5 brushes and just only Fupa 14 that we can recognize because of the softness, the others have the same level of softness. So this is the little bit dissapointed for me about saikoho hair. If you are new to Koyudo brush and want some soft brush with small budget, I would say you can choose fupa 14 and do not hestitate choose others from goat, they are soft enough and never make your skin feel harsh. About this fuwafuwa? If you are a collector and you want an unique brush, go for it!
The goat hair is very soft, but the top of the hair is laser cut. Only the lateral hair has natural tips. I expected only natural hair tips. The handle is very well made. But the hair quality does not correspond to the price. There is space in the brush(small holes)and you can see different densities.
