EPに収録されているチェインスモーカーズとのコラボ曲である大ヒット・シングル「Something Just Like This」は、東京ドーム公演でレコーディングされた“Tokyo Remix”。会場を埋め尽くした4万5千人のファンの圧巻の合唱が余すところなく収められたこのライヴ音源を聴けばコールドプレイにとって日本がどれだけ特別かがわかるはず!! EPのプロデュースを手掛けているのは、Daniel GreenとBill Rahko。その他、デトロイトのラッパー、ビッグ・ショーンとのコラボ曲「Miracles (Something Special)」、そしてブライアン・イーノとの共作による新曲「A L I E N S」も収録されている。ちなみに「A L I E N S」の共同プロデューサーには、ブライアン・イーノとアーケイド・ファイアー、マムフォード&サンズ、キングス・オブ・レオンなどで知られるマーカス・ドラヴスが名を連ねている。
