[Machine Translation] UK #1 UK rock band Editors complete their fifth album! The Editors, the UK's leading five-piece rock band whose debut and second albums both reached number one in the UK charts, have completed their fifth album "In Dreams", their second album with a new lineup after a change of members. After touring the world for two years with the current lineup, the Editors have been further pursuing their "Editors' sound" and have completed this album as an extension of their previous album, "The Weight of Your Love", which had a more rock-oriented sound, but with a lot of influences from electro music. This album is a departure from the rock-influenced "The Weight of Your Love" and is heavily influenced by electro music. The sound is similar to that of the band's debut album and their third album, In This Light and On This Evening, which debuted at number one in the U.K. charts. The album was produced by the band itself and mixed by Alan Moulder, who is known for his work with Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Placebo, and others. In addition to the two songs mentioned above, the album includes 10 songs in total, including "Ocean Of Night," a duet with Rachel Goswell of Slowdive on guest vocals, "The Law," and "At All Cost. The five members selected their own playlists to play between recordings. The diverse selection included Norwegian DJ Todd Terrier, soulful vocalist Robert Palmer, John Grant, and a three-hour club mix by Despacio.

全英チャート1位獲得のUK5人組ロックバンド、エディターズが5作目を完成! デビュー・アルバムとセカンド・アルバムが共に全英チャート1位を獲得したUKが誇る5人組ロックバンド、エディターズ。5作目となるニュー・アルバム『イン・ドリーム』は、メンバー・チェンジを経て新規ライナップとなってから2作目となる。現在のライナップで2年間に渡る世界ツアーを経験し、“エディターズ的サウンド”というものをさらに追求した延長線で完成した今作は、ロック調が全面に出ていた前作『ザ・ウェイト・オブ・ユア・ラヴ』から一変、エレクトロ・ミュージックの影響を大いに受けて制作された。バンドのデビュー・アルバムから全英チャート1位を獲得した3作目『イン・ディス・ライト・アンド・オン・ディス・イヴニング』までのサウンドに近い仕上がりになっている。バンド自身によるプロデュースで、ミックスはアークティック・モンキーズやフー・ファイターズ、プラシーボ等の仕事でも知られるアラン・モウルダーが担当。前述の2曲はもちろん、スロウダイヴのレイチェル・ゴスウェルがゲスト・ヴォーカルで参加したデュエット曲「Ocean Of Night」や「The Law」「At All Cost」など、全10曲を収録。レコーディングの合間にはメンバー5人がそれぞれセレクトしたプレイリストを流したという。ヴァラエティに富んだそのセレクションには、ノルウェーのDJ、トッド・テリエ、ソウルフルなヴォーカリスト、ロバート・パーマー、さらにはジョン・グラントや3時間におよぶDespacioのクラブ・ミックスなどが含まれていたという。
