Nice brush, but I wouldn’t buy it again. It’s not as flexible for blending as I had heard from a reviewer. It’s soft to the touch but feels a little pokey at times. Couldn’t use it after being freshly waxed.

If you were to ask for recommendations on what to buy from Houkodou line, I would definitely recommend this one as my first pick. This would be great for all eye shape, all skin types.

People were not joking when they said this brush is gray squirrel quality yet functions like a goat haired brush! I am so ecstatic that I picked up 2 of these brushes. This brush is like a swiss-army-knife with endless capabilities. I used this brush for blending and precision. It lays and packs colors, blends crease and undereye area, can be used for powder contouring along the nose and so on. It's the perfect size and shape and I'm utterly impressed. One of the most unique eye brush out there!

I'm just in love with Houkodou Brilliant Gold series and especially with the Canadian squirrel brush. They work great with powder products, they are easy to handle. I love this brush, it is soft and enough firm, perfect for layering colour and blend it as well

To be honest it is amazing for base colour ... lid colour ....crease and even undereye lashline shadow!! (JUST SQUISH THE BRISTLES TO FLATTEN IT MORE FOR LOWER LASHLINE). So for pigmented powder makeup that a person wants to get a soft effect with (without reducing pigment/opacity ) this brush can give you layered translucent application where wanted to give a diffused effect. Surprised also by how resilient and well made it is!! This a+ a weasel hair shadow liner brush that doubles as eyebrow brush is all a person needs for most styles of eye makeup..oh and a concentrated one like the Make Up ForEver 218 brush (or similar). 3 brushes.

This brush is both soft and effective. It is a big relief to my sensitive eyelids. It glides beautifully over your eyes and applies color with no patchiness whatsoever. I wish the head was just a tad denser, though. For reference, it is similar to Mac 217 in shape, 1 mm shorter, and slimmer due it being squirrel hair. Yes, it is pricey but worth it. You can pack color and blend it in a matter of seconds.

A good brush with a great quality price. The Canadian squirrel hair is very soft, its quality is slightly inferior to the hair of the Hakuhodo 513 brush, which is softer, also of the Canadian squirrel, but this hakoudou brush has a very good quality, almost the same. Very suitable for matte shadows, maybe less for shimmers although it is quite dense (less dense than Chikuhodo z-5). I recommend it. The softness is comparable to gray squirrel.

This is a very good brush for a very good price. Canadian squirrel brushes are rare and I am glad that I found one. The shape and the size makes the brush multifunctional for the eyes!

At first, I thought I was buying just another squirrel eyeshadow brush. This brush not only applies eyeshadow well, because of its slightly longer hair, it can also functions as a blending brush! And it blends well. Plus, the brush is soft and applies color well. It becomes a necessity for my daily use instantly. The shape and the hair is just perfect. I hope Houkodou releases more squirrel eyeshadow brushes and I am going to collect them all! This is how much I love this brush.

This brush to me has the wow-factor. Fantastic soft bristles, dense but not too thick. Can be used to lay down eyeshadows and by turning it around to put color in your crease. A very versatile brush. And so soft! My eyelids are very fragile. Skin there is so thin many brushes hurt. But this brush I can use always. Even on worst skin days. Love it.

I wss pleasantly surprised when I first saw this brush.. the canadian squirrel hair is almost as soft as grey squirrel hair. I can use this brush for my entire eye makeup. truly versatile!

I bought 2 of this brush from different order. The quality of this brush is superb and cant hold myself to order ths 2nd one. And the bristles is just like a dupe of bobby brown but this is much more softer than bobbi brown and does perform well.

This is a very nice Canadian squirrel eye brush. The thickness of brush is very surprising and appreciated. Sometimes squirrel brushes can be a bit thin but this one is thick. This brush can lay down and blend out shadows too. A wonderfully bundled brush with fantastic quality hair.

this has been my favorite multi purpose eye brush since i received it in the mail. It applies color well and makes a good blender brush as well. it is on the smaller side and would be suitable for eyes of all sizes.

This eyeshadow brush is so soft and smooth. I was thinking it may not pick up product well. However, i was wrong. It picks up products nice and easily. It feels so smooth and easy to apply. Recommended!
