Named after Kabuki actor, Danjuro Ichikawa, Kiya has a long and honorable history trademarking the "Danjuro" series from the Meiji Era. In order to live up to its name, Kiya's named its top quality line after the honorable actor. Features best quality steel--Yasuki and Aogami steel, water buffalo horn bolster attached to a keyaki tree handle. The broad and even blades are best for cutting bulky vegetables and for peeling.
Important Notes: Please take note that carbon steel knives will rust as it is a naturally occuring phenomenon. Although it may not rust as much as carbon steel, stainless steel knives will also rust slightly. Rusting especially occurs for brand new knives. But don't worry.
