Highly-absorbent, the product is made by applying 7 tons of pressure on a sheet of pure traditional Japanese paper. Although there are many oil-absorbent papers in the market that look similar, there are only a few that use pure traditional Japanese paper. Pure Japanese paper by itself will not absorb sebum, however, as the paper will need to be pressed with similar pressure that was used when making gold foil during the Edo period. Common oil-absorbent papers will quickly absorb water in capillary action when they come in contact with water. Once they absorb water, these papers are no longer useful to absorb oil from our skin. Only after the fibers in the paper have been crushed can the paper absorb oil without picking up moisture. The difference is immense as you will see that a single sheet of paper could be enough for fixing your make up. 30sheets
