Chikuhodo Z series is always the top and famous series when talking about Japan Fude. the bristle is really soft and the density is also ok. I do love to use it to apply setting powder on my face. Thoug I haven't tried, I think it should be good to use for blush product as well.

This is not a brush, it is perfection. It has it all: softness, efficiency, beauty. I don’t think there exists another brush which is as efficient as it is soft and pretty. When you load it with powder, just take a look, you’ll see how well and evenly it picks up. I could powder my face all day long with this beauty. I think I’m in love with my Z-1.

Unfortunately it is not longer as well made as my old z1 2015.Less dense, hair is thinner, less resistant and bundled poorly with few hairs sticking out.

I love the fact that this brush work great for sweeping powder onto the face, but it's also fantastic for buffing. The bristles are super soft and fairly dense. It's great for powder foundation, translucent powder, bronzer, and actually blush too! I use this when I have a harder pressed blush as this still manages to pick up the perfect amount to deposit onto my cheeks.

Beautiful brush! Even though I have oily/combination skin I bit the bullet and ordered this as a treat to myself for my birthday over the summer. It is sublimely soft and applies just the right amount of powder for those who don't like to powder a lot. That being said, I know I will enjoy this brush even more once the temperatures begin to fall and it gets cooler meaning my skin will be less oily. For now, I just pat my face with a paper towel after applying my liquid foundation to absorb whatever extra moisture/oil I have on my face and THEN powder with this brush. This brush gives a very natural coverage of powder and it just feels so good to run it against your face:D:D:D Get it!!!

Oh yes, finally I received the long awaited brush. I made purchase of this after being influencd by "My Favorite Makeup Brushes" by Michele Wang. I use it with Cle De Peau translucent loose powder and Koh Gen Do setting powder. Amazing application and effect. It picks up powder from the case and transfer onto my face without moving the foundation underneath, exactly like what Michele said in her video. It creates a perfect surface for me to apply my other cosmetics. My make up last longer now!! It is so far the most expensive brush that I owned (+ taxes) but I am so happy with this new experience.

This brush is now the king of all my brushes. It is an everyday staple for me. I use it for finishing powder (Hourglass ambient lighting, Guerlain meteories both loose and pressed). It does not leave tiny holes in my hourglass pan because it’s super soft. It’s also very springy on the skin when I use it to buff in powder. Can’t imagine my makeup family without it!

This is very appealing, high quality soft but dense brush. Perfect for finishing powders like guerlain meteorites and hourglass ambient powders.

This is the biggest face brush ive owned so far. It is so silky soft! You have to see the real one to really appreciate the quality. I have got the rest of the Z Series face brush in smaller size, in fact i bought almost every size in this series! Although it is expensive, it is totally worth it. It apply powder seamlessly and it gives a sheer, most natural finishing. I dont set my make up, i only use this for finishing powder. Worth the splurge!

Love this brush. Brush is soft, with just the right amount of stiffness to swirl in the meteorite balls and buff into the skin. Beautiful handle and light weight. Washed it once with baby shampoo. No shedding at all and retains it shape too. Love it!!!

The brush arrived with its bristles misshapen, the whole thing looks crooked, poorly made, cheap, witch is so not the case here. Desapointed to say the least as I'm not returning the item.

Got this brush when I was fascinated by large powder brushes. In the end, as lovely as it is, I have not used it much due to my style of makeup. I much prefer medium sized brushes that allow for more targetted placement of product. The Z8 and Z4 get far more use when I need a soft wash or color while goat (saikoho) brushes get the most use of all on my oily combo skin as they give more coverage.

The Chikuhodo Z-1 has a unique shape, dense and soft. It's pricey but worth every penny. One of my favorite from the Z series. The squirrel hairs pick up powder and blend it out beautifully. Also works perfectly for bronzers and powder foundation. A must have in your collection.

First foray into Chikuhodo and I think the brushes are excellent quality and worth the money. I have sensitive skin and therefore, cannot adapt to synthetic or other hair variations. I use this brush daily and my skin is happy. The shipping was also expedient. Good job CDJapan!

This brush is giving a great performance with its bundled pack and rounded head. It is not loose yet to be too dense just have a well balance in between thus giving a good diffusing power. It is good to use with Guerlain Meteorites or bronzer, gives a beautiful finish.

I waited years to invest in high quality brushes and made sure to research as many brands as I could before committing. My search eventually led me to the Chikuhodo Z series and the Suqqu cheek brush. While the Suqqu brush was tempting, I decided it best to order the Z1 and the Z4 instead. CdJapan was the most appealing to order from because of their fair prices and point/yen system. So I placed my order last Sunday. I went with EMS and less than a week my brushes arrived here in Florida. Incredible! I've never seen anything ship this fast internationally. My brushes were packaged securely and arrived in perfect, glorious condition. I'm not sure which I'm more impressed by -- the high quality craftsmanship of the Chikuhodo brushes or the stellar customer service of CdJapan. Both have blown my mind! These brushes are super soft, possibly softer than my pet rabbit! I'm using the Z1 for setting powder and with my Geurlain Meteorites. It's the perfect shape and size to swirl around the pearls and it delivers a beautiful finish. All in all, it's such a blessing to have these brushes in my collection. I'll definitely be ordering from CdJapan again, I'm so happy with everything!

Brush is very high quality and well made, ultra soft and also super silky It's density & rounded head are perfect for applying powder & bronzers It will give you a diffused natural look with loose powder It is the softest brush I own by far.

The z-series are incredibly soft! Bought this together with Z-9. Z-1 is round shape in smaller brush head as compared to z-9. Excellent for face powder! Love cdjapan's service, thank you for making them available!
