With all my goat and squirrel brushes I always wanted to get one made out of horse/pony hair. After all the Shu Uemura uses this type of hair in their 20 and 20H brushes and they are known to effective. Softer is not better always, and sometimes what's better is just different. That's how I got the R-C4, my first brush made out of horse hair. Compared to goat it's thinner and straighter. There is more slip to it while you sweep over the skin but the tips are less gentle. This is the kind of hair that works best in a paddle shape. This is the brush to use with sweeping motion to apply highlights and pigmented blushes.
