Tatoeba Ima...

This song is like a part 2 of the story that started with the first Tezuka-Fuji duet. The song updates the storyline to match the New Prince of Tennis where Tezuka departs to Germany. While it sounds like a goodbye song, it is also a promise to reunite/meet again. Like the first song, this song beautifully portrays the changing and unchanging dynamic between the two characters. Even the CD cover accentuates the story! I adore the combination of the voices of Yukki-san and Okki-san! The solo songs on this one are Tezuka's unlike Fuji's on the first duet CD, and just like the earlier ones are very pretty and add to the value of the purchase. In some sense there is a sense of continuation between the 2 CDs, of both main songs and the extras, and they complement each other perfectly. I look forward to more of their songs together and love how they are always released on Fuji's birthday - makes them precious!

This is the single I was waiting for since like 10 years ago. If Koko de Bokura wa Deatte Shimatta was the prettiest song ever, Tatoeba Ima is the most gorgeous and beautiful duet song. The lyrics are full of emotions and their voices are as much in point as you would expect from Kaida-san and Okiayu-san. Also the extra Tezuka songs are super beautiful too. Tatoeba Ima sure ranked as one of my top 3 Tenipuri songs. 10/10.
