Live at Fuji Rock Festival '06

Awesome. Jawdropping. It will make you want to go to fuji rock to see them live there. Unlike the last liveDVD with Wire livesets this one is just one long set, mostly older classic songs. And Taki dresses up, what more could you ask for. Well, perhaps some bonus materials, but when the songs are playing and you can soak up the fuji rock atmosphere those things becomes secondary, Denki Groove rules.

I'm a fan of Denki Groove and was happy to hear about the new DVD. I didn't really know what to expect, after all, two years have gone by since the previous performances which could be seen on DVD. But the guys (with support of Kagami) have delivered an absolutely stunning performance with enthusiasm and energy. The old songs have been retouched, sometimes only slightly, sometimes heavily, but the new versions do sound very fresh. I enjoyed every moment of the performance. The stage itself is great too, the lights are superb, and Taki also manages to amaze us again with a very special costume at the end ;-) Let me also give credit to the production team: the cameras are cool, the picture quality is perfect and the sound is absolutely huge, you will feel just like the crowd at the party! So, to cut a long story short: a must for fans, and highly recommended to everybody else!
