Of course, Evangelion is a brilliant series, but this single disc isn't meant to showcase that (the full remastered release of the series will do that) This disc is to show off the remaster; and to that end, it is fantastic. The video quality of the remaster is amazing; and the series certainly deserves it, so that it can be judged on its writting, rather than dated visuals. The only reason to not buy this is if you intend to buy the full series; but if you just want to try it out, or see the results of the remaster, this DVD is worth the small price
