It's difficult to rate this single one way or the other; it's neither bad nor particularly outstanding. On the titular track, the backing instrumental is nice enough, the vocals are good, and the line distribution between the girls is a bit more even than we've come to expect. That said, it isn't a particularly memorable song. While pleasant to listen to it's unlikely to be a song you'll keep coming back to, over and over. It's not all that catchy. The lyrics are rather pleasant and cheery, something that had been rather uncommon since the latter half of last year, which is a nice change. The problem is that the song just feels all too familiar... like I've heard it many times before. I think this is going to become a problem soon. It's great that Tsunku can churn out as many songs as he can in such a short amount of time to a usually high quality, especially with Hello! Project and its sub-units at the size they are, but they're starting to sound awfully similar. The second track, "Tomo", is also much the same - pleasant and enjoyable, yet likely quickly forgettable. The vocals are actually really nice on this song. Even Sayumi, with her notoriously weak voice, sounds pretty good, and there are a lot more solo lines for the lesser-used girls. I think it would sound much better performed on stage during a concert, but since it's a B-side that's unlikely to happen. Perhaps it might even have been better to give this song a single of its own - it sounds almost too strong to be a B-side. While I do like both songs, in my opinion two relatively slow songs on the same single is a little too much. Based on Seishun Collection alone I would give the single 3/5, but Tomo bumps it up to 4/5.
