Chojin Sentai Jetman Vol.1

For me jetman is the best sentai fo all ! I had the chance to see the series in my country in France in 1992, but unfortunately incomplete and poorly dubbed, I could see the complete on the net and I'm glad to have it on DVD because I love design, intrigue, the mecha, music, actors and the atmosphere that surrounds it, and the image on the DVD is so that the net had believe see a sentai produce recently. The cover and the booklet are really amazing and the image on the 2 disc too. Definitely the best edition of senta? ^^

This Chojin Sentai Jetman Vol. 1 plus starter box is well worth the money. For all you Americans looking at this review, this is the 1991 version of the Super Sentai series(aka Power Rangers in the U.S.) It's the team right before the one we dubbed into the Power Rangers. In my opinion, this Jetman version is better, because it's more adult and pays homage to the anime Gatchaman. They have bird costumes and even fly with wings. Also they each have their own jets which can combine to form a giant jet called the Pheonix and can also form a giant Robot. This show is packed full of sci-fi, martial arts action and a good bit of comedy. It also has lots of eye-candy colors and good cinematography. Vol. one is a 2 disc set that has the first 10 episodes and it comes with a starter box so you can fill it up with the remaining four volumes. The box is a beautiful work of Japanese art, as most Japanese box sets are.

Jetman is among my favorite toku seasons. It has the great costume designs that were based on Gatchaman, some realistic characters, and that classic Sentai feel. Not to mention it was the last season before the PR era, so its the last chance for you to watch it without Dejavu. The box art is splendid and has the calm and cool RedFalcon on the front. It -is- in Japanese with no subtitles, but it is still entertaining and a great buy. Dont let the price fool you. Its WELL worth it.
