2015年5月の活動休止以来、10か月振りにシーンに戻ってくるthe god and death stars。今作は、デビュー作となった1st Mini Album『addle apple』から5年の時を経て、当時とは全く違う解釈でリアレンジリテイクした6曲入りミニアルバム。各曲のタイトルからも判るとおり、似て非なるものとして扱われる紛れもない新曲がパッケージされている。活動休止期間中の個々の活動を経てバンドに持ち込まれた新たなエッセンスと、退廃的でモノクロームな詩世界との融合はスリーピースロックンロールバンドとしてますます円熟味を増し、もはや誰にもマネのできない唯一無二の存在となっている。
