2016年3月3日、47歳の若さで天国へと羽ばたいたハヤブサ。そのハヤブサが、2010年にリリースした生涯唯一のスタジオアルバム「ハヤブサと呑む」を、新たにミックスし直した音源のリリースが決定。このアルバムは、先日、全100回公演を達成したハヤブサ主催イベント「ハヤブサと呑む」をバンドスタイルで収録したアルバムで、レコーディングミュージシャンは、その100回公演を完走したYATSUKA(DRAGON GATE RECORDS)がベース、村田雅和(TRINOTE)がドラムを演奏。YO-HEI(KUZYAKU)がギターを担当していた2010年当時のラインナップ。ハヤブサと親交のあったSakura(Rayflower, THE MADCAP LAUGHS, ex.ZIGZO、ex.L'Arc～en～Ciel)がドラムで参加したハヤブサの入場曲「FIGHT WITH DREAM」をヘッドチューンに、往年のハヤブサの代表曲がズラリとラインナップしているアルバムを新たにミックスし直し、ビクタースタジオの技術でマスタリングを施され、生まれ変わった。後世に受け継がれるであろう不死鳥の軌跡とも言える魂の名盤。
