Description

[Machine Translation] The people of Latvia, a country in the middle of the Baltic States, are also known as the "Singing People. Since ancient times, they have sung songs to express and transmit their daily lives, annual events, weddings and funerals, the seasons, and the beauty of the land. Folk songs created by ordinary people, not musicians, and passed down orally are simple, yet sometimes heartbreaking and sometimes inspiring. M-5 <Mugurdancis> is a song often used in Latvian folk dances. The arrangement is based on the image of the music making you full of energy as you listen to it. M-4<Eima bisu klausitiesi> is a cover of a song by Ilgi, a famous Latvian folk band. <profile> Formed in 2014, Uzmaniv is the first unit in Japan to perform traditional music from the Republic of Latvia. The members are Akiko Mizoguchi, a rare Latvian kuakule player in Japan, Shinichi Hata, a violinist active in various genres of Arabic music, Aki, a percussionist with rich experience mainly in Celtic and Scandinavian music, and Una, a Latvian singer-songwriter who participates only when she visits Japan. UnaUlla is a Latvian singer-songwriter who participates only when she visits Japan. They are actively introducing Latvian folk songs that have been born and passed down in daily life.

Description in Japanese

UZMANIBU / UZMANIBU
