Despite claims made by BMG Japan, and double-checked by phone by CD Japan, the 10 Kinks titles, BVCM-37970 ("The Kinks") thru BVCM-37979 ("Percy"), released on 9/05/07, are NOT K2 reissues. The masters used for the 2007 BMG's are the 1998 UK Castle remasters, with the exact same Castle expanded tracklists & booklets, which the 2000 K2's did not have.

Initially, the Kinks releases (BVCM-37970-BVCM-37979) were to be 24-bit remastered, but not too long before the release dates, there was a change in plan. Instead the albums have been released as reissues of the 1998 releases, without the 24-bit remastering. There was no announcement about the change before and after they were released, and for a time, the mention about the 24-bit remastering remained on the CDJapan website. Then after inquiring different people, we finally became aware of the change, and removed the mention about 24-bit remastering, accordingly.
