A Complete - CD ver. 5

Finally a compilation which includes all of Ayu's A-sides up to 'Mirrorcle World' on 3 discs along with a new version of one of my fave songs, 'Who...'. A journey from the beginning to the here and now which shows the development in her music style. Some of the remastered versions sound slightly different from the original release but in a refreshing way.

A COMPLETE collection of Ayumi Hamasaki is a perfect way for people who do not have all her singles to get them all on her GREATEST HITS album. Here you will find all her singles, startin' from her debut single poker face and her masterpiece single Mirrorcle World. All of the songs from this albums are live classic already. And Ayumi Hamasaki is one of the MOST unique artists ever that was ever born on this planet. Not dissapointed 4

I was really happy about this CD. I loved listening through the songs and noticing how Ayu's music style changed over her 10 years. The one thing I didnt like was that 'A Song For XX' was not included. Other than that, any Ayu fan should buy this CD. Much easier than buying all of the seperate singles! They are all there!

A Decade of Ayu 5

Despite loving J-Pop, I have really only known of Japanese music through video games and anime. That is until recently I branched out into it properly with their albums and singles with artists such as Hikaru Utada and Namie Amuro. I had of course heard of Ayumi Hamasaki and the impact that she has rusted into Japan but I had never really heard her music. Having recently downloaded the "Guilty" album off iTunes (they need to release more of her work on the UK edition) I was very interested to listen to her past work. Luckily, this compilation of her career had just been released so I deceided to purchase it. Man, I am a HUGE Ayu fan now. What a career she has had, and its not just because of the sales but what fantastic songs she had written and produced. I love how as the CDs progress you can hear Ayumi herself progress with her vocal ability and music style. My favourite CD has to be CD 3 which has her most recently releases because of how diversify the songs are. While they all fit into the "J-Pop" category they each take out different styles such as Rock, Gospel and soft R'n'B. While every track is a good listen my favourites are: "poker face", "LOVE ~Destiny~", "Boys & Girls", "vogue", "M", "NEVER EVER", "CAROLS", "Bold & Delicious", "glitter" and "Mirrorcle World" which the latter is probably the best song on the whole album. Ayu, you have certainly obtained another fan worldwide here, well done and congratulations on your fantastic career.

the perfect Ayumi music introduction 5

All Ayumi Hamasaki A-Sides in one!!! this album is perfect as an introduction to Ayumi's music. If it's your first time listening to her, you can hear one by one all the hits she made from the very begginning (Poker Face) to the actual (Mirrorcle World), and have an idea on how Ayu's music has been changing during the pass of the years.

Excellent collection 4

Unlike some of the other reviewers (who hadn't even purchased the album before its release), I managed to snag this via my fiance in Japan. Of course, this album does not disappoint, as it literally contains ALL her A-side singles since the start of her career with Avex. That's not including the B-sides, which in some cases were mega hits themselves. Remastered with better sound quality, the listener is in for a real treat, especially those equipped with nice sound systems. As with any CD, it's not without its flaws. For one, the immediate disappointment in that the original vocal versions of "Trust," "Depend on you" were inserted in this album. Now, I'm all for originality in a greatest hits compilation but unlike her current hits, the early stuff has quite questionable vocal quality. Her vocals at the start of her career are quite awful, stringing from off-keys to flat out whining singing. I suppose this was done to show the growth in her talent over the years. Luckily I have "A Best" which contains re-sang tracks. Finally, I'm disappointed at the exclusion of "a song is born," "End Roll" and most of all "A Song for XX," "Jewel," "Momentum" a personal favorite of mine.
