Space of Hip-Pop -namie amuro tour 2005-

The most important thing you need in a "Hip Hop" show is hype...you need to get the crowd going!!! Namie obviously wasn't feeling it. The stage setup, however, is STUNNING and her outfits are gorgeous...but most the time, she looked like she was not enjoying herself and had a plain expression. Not very fun at all...but on the up-side, the dancing was nice. There's a flaw to that too though; too much concentration on the dance, not enough on the vocals. Her vocals were HORRIBLE most the time...especially on the "Can You Celebrate?" and "White Light" performances (she wasn't even dancing during those two!) and they were very screechy. The only thing really outstanding about this DVD is the cover...and when the Pink Panther danced w/ her in "Wowa"...it was really cute. All in all, it deserves "3 stars"...just because of the dancing, outfits, and stage setup. It's likeable...but nothing more.

I'm sorry but I prefer the "So Crazy tour", here I don't find her choreography are like in PV or TV, it's missing something. But at the middle of the show it becomes better. Special mention for "No" !

Amuro is typically a great performer at her concerts and this DVD was no exception. Vocally she sounds great here, probably better than any of her previous concert tours. She performed the choreography well even though some songs left something to be desired. The standout performances from this DVD are "the SPEED STAR," "Violet Sauce" and "Body Feels EXIT." What I really liked about the DVD itself though was the packaging. As far as design goes, it's simply her best. Made to look like a tabloid, it includes a mini magazine with hilarious English articles and games. Anyway, if you're into pop shows you don't get much better than Amuro. Give it a try.
