Deorart
Deorart Blouse
Greetings from CDJapan. This week I'm pleased to announce the arrival of fashion label Deorart to the CDJapan apparel section. Deorart brings a slightly different taste to our line-up with very Harajuku-influenced gothic look. If you're looking for a boiler suit or a super-frilly blouse, definitely have a look.

The new Deorart page can be accessed here.

Elenora> thanks for the support! If we see a lot interest in the more gothic styles, I'll see if I can get our team to look into signing up more gothic brands!

Panda> I'm not sure which brand yet, but keep your eyes open in the next few months. I've been hearing rumblings about a new brand coming up here.

It definitely is a cool idea. I ordered something as soon as I received the newsmail, because I just loved one shirt thingy instantly. Now to wait if the quality lives up to the picture, I'm looking forward to receiving it! I normally don't look for clothes, but when you dangle them in front of me like that, I feel intrigued. ;)

San> Great to hear! I've actually yet to see the Deorart items myself, so if you feel up to it, let us know what you think.

Algonquins is still my favorite because their garments are all relatively casual and can be worn for various occasions. It's much more difficult to find places to wear Deorart to! Especially in America when we have hardly any Visual kei concerts. However, I am going to buy one of their angel wing shirts, maybe their bondage pants, and possibly one of their jackets. I hope to see more accessories soon from every brand! Accessories really make the outfit! Some Japanese brands that I am looking forward to Cdjapan acquiring are Putumayo and Hellcat Punks because their styles are easy to coordinate. The brand that I am most disappointed with would have to be SexPot Revenge, I have spent a good amount of money on this brand only to realize that the quality doesn't really match the price. A lot of SexPot clothing seems like it is cheaply mass produced with a few fancy screen prints slapped on them, however the $100+ SexPot items are generally decent quality and worth the cost =).

Candie> Thanks for the info! It helps us a lot to know which brands you guys prefer. I'm not sure if we'll be able to get Putamayo or Hellcat Punks in, but I will tell the person who's setting this all up to look into more practical/less extreme brands.

Of course, extreme brands are cool too, but what use are clothes if you can't wear them anywhere, anyway?
by Dan : Nov 09,2007
Yeah exactly! Everyone needs a couple of outfits for special events, but beyond that is kind of overkill haha.

If you can't get Putumayo and hell cat punks then I'd recommend looking into Banana Fish or Toxic Star. I guess basically any brand featured in Kera magazine!
by Candie : Nov 10,2007
Thanks Candie, I'll pass along Banana Fish and Toxic Star as well (and also make sure our acquisitions guy keeps up his Kera subscription)!

Actually, I have a question for you--if you don't mind it would help us signing up new brands. Have you ever considered buying directly from Hellcat Punks, and if so why would you prefer to buy from CDJapan?

If we can get some good reasons, we can use them when we talk to Hellcat and other brands ;)
by Dan : Nov 10,2007
I've considered buying from the Hellcat's English website because they claim to have international shipping, but all of the clothing that they have is out of stock! So much is sold out and it doesn't seem that they ever update the website.
This website here:
http://www.rakuten.ne.jp/gold/sos/
also has international shipping and lots of brands that I like including hellcat, however I prefer to use cdjapan for the point system and dependable shipping =).

Also, I want to make a suggestion for the cdjapan website. You should have a section for customers to display pictures of themselves wearing clothing purchased from cdjapan! I know I would send in my pictures =D!

Excellent answer, thanks a lot!

As for the website, that's a great suggestion as well! I'll talk to our dev team and see if we can get something going. Unfortunately, they're pretty backed up now (getting ready for Christmas ;)) so if it does happen, it'll be a while. But I agree, it would be great to have a place on the site for people to recommend and show off outfits.
