Kabe Otoko with English Subtitles

The silver screen adaptation of cult author Daijiro Morohoshi's horror manga "Kabe Otoko (The Wall Man)" is out now on DVD with English subtitles. Directed by internationally acclaimed director Wataru Hayakawa ("7/25 Nana-Ni-Go"), "Kabe Otoko" stars Masato Sakai ("Sukiyaki Western Django," "Honey and Clover") and idol Mayumi Ono!

When a TV reporter named Kyoko receives an anonymous tip about a mysterious half-human/half-fiend that lives in the walls called the "Kabe Otoko" she decides to run an investigative story that unleashes a wave of Kabe Otoko mania across Japan. However, mania quickly turns to insanity when Kyoko's boyfriend and cameraman Nishina becomes obssessed with this monster eternally watching from the walls. Seemingly possessed, he takes pictures of the walls for days on end. While Kyoko continues to fret over her lover, Nishina continues to investigate the linke between the world of the Kabe Otoko and the humans, eventually corresponding with something calling itself the "Kabe Otoko." As Kabe Otoko mania escalates across Japan due to the work of Nishina, Kyoko discovers that strange things are happening to the people around her. What exactly *is* the Kabe Otoko?
