About Viewer

Turn Pages

Tap on either side of the page, or drag the edge of the page to turn it.

Make sure to turn on the option to turn page by tapping under Preference > Viewer > Tap Mode.

Jumping Pages

Tap anywhere on the page to enter the menu mode. Once you do that, the page slider appears at the bottom of the page.

Slide it either to the left or right to jump to any page you like.

TraceZoom

TraceZoom allows you to read manga easily by enlarging each frame and also by making it easy to move from one frame to the next.

Double tap the page to switch to TraceZoom. Please note that TraceZoom will be enabled only with eBooks that are formatted by publishers for this option. For ones that are formatted, the "Double tap to enable TraceZoom" message will appear whenever you begin to read. To return to the normal mode, double tap again.

To enter the menu mode while TraceZoom is enabled, tap on the center of the screen.

Tap on the left side of the frame to move to next frame.

Auto Mode:

Tap on the page to enter the menu mode, and tap on the "View" button to enable Auto Mode. While in Auto Mode, display the slider to adjust the display duration of each frame at the bottom by entering the menu mede. To exit the Auto Mode, tap on the "Stop" button in menu.

Normal Mode:

Drag frames to change frames in any direction. Tap on the left side of the frame to move to the next frame. Tap on the right side of the frame to move to go back to previous frame.

End TraceZoom

Double tap the screen or tap on "Back" button in menu.

Adjust Mask Transparency

While in TraceZoom mode, all frames except for the current one will be masked. Adjust "Transparent" button in menu mode.

Adjust Font Size

Change font size to suit your preference on eBooks consisting only of texts.

Pinch in / Pinch out

Pinch in or Pinch out to enlarge to shrink font size.

Font Settings Menu

Tap on the page to enter the menu mode. Under the Font Settings Menu, tap on the [A- / Default / A+] button to adjust.

  • A-: Shrink font size
  • Default: Reset to default font sizse
  • A+: Enlarge font size

Text Direction

Some Japanese eBooks allow the text direction to be changed.

Tap on the page to enter menu mode, and click on Font Settings button.

Tap on the Vertical / Horizontal button to change text direction.

*This option will be enabled only with Japanese books formatted for this option by the publisher.

Tap on the [Bookmark] button that's indicated above the page slider to bookmark the current page you are reading.

Tap on the [Bookmark] tab under the tool menu to view your bookmarks in list view as well as in thumbnail view. Tap on a bookmark to jump to the bookmarked page.

Delete Bookmarks

Delete bookmarks in following steps.

[iOS]
  1. View bookmarks in list view.
  2. Tap on the trash can displayed on the top right corner to enter delete mode.
  3. Tap on the [-] button that appears next to the bookmark.
  4. Then tap on the [Delete] button that appears to delete your bookmark.
[Android]
  1. View bookmarks in list view.
  2. Tap on hold on the bookmark you'd like to delete.
  3. Tap on the [Delete] button.

Tap on the page to enter the menu mode and tap on the [Tool] button.

Tap on the [Contents] tab and tap on the index of the page you'd like to jump to.

Rotate Screen

Rotate the screen by rotating your device.

iPad

You may rotate the screen for any eBook content there is. By rotating it horizontally, eBooks may be read in spread view.

iPhone、iPod touch、Android

It it possible to rotate only manga and other graphic eBooks. By rotating it horizontally, the page will be enlarged to match the horizontal screen size. Scroll up and down to enjoy the content.

Maximize Display Size

The [Maximize] button appears in the menu for eBooks with different display size than that of your device.

[Tap] on the [Maximize] button to display the content in max size as well as to go back to the default display size.

*The button does not appear for eBooks that are not formatted by the publisher for this option.

Enlarge

Double tap the page to enlarge. Double tap again to go back to normal view.

*To enable this option, go to [Preference > Viewer > Double Tap to zoom] and tap on the [On] button.

*In case of eBooks that are formatted for TraceZoom, the TraceZoom will be enabled.

Tap on the page to enter the menu mode and tap on the [Brightness] button. Adjust brightness with the slider.

Text Search

Search text by keywords. Please note that the search function isn't available on manga and other graphic eBooks.

Tap on the page to enter the menu mode and tap on the [Tool] button and then tap on the [Search] button to enter the search form.

Type in a keyword or a phrase and tap on the [Search] button.

Exact match will be highlighted in the text in the search mode.

View Search History

View Search History

Keywords and phrases you have searched are displayed under the search from. To search again, tap on them again.

Delete your search history in following steps.

  1. View search history.
  2. Tap on the trash can displayed on the top right corner to enter the delete mode.
  3. Tap on the [-] button that appears next to keywords and phrases.
  4. Tap on the [Delete] button that appears.
[Android]
  1. View search history.
  2. Tap and hold on a keyword or a phrase you'd like to delete.
  3. Tap on the [Delete] button that appears.

Dictionary

Look up words and phrases on dictionary. Please note that dictionary isn't available on manga and other graphic eBooks.

  1. Tap and hold on text to select a phrase automatically or drag over text to select a phrase. Once a phrase is selected, you enter the menu mode. Tap on the [Dictionary] button.

  2. A list of dictionaries appear. Tap on the one you'd like to look up the phrase with.
  3. The phrase will be looked up on the dictionary you select.

*It's not possible to look up on dictionary if there is no dictionary installed on your device.

*Dictionaries are compatible only with iOS 5 and later versions.

Web Search

Search the web for phrases in eBooks. Please note that dictionary isn't available on manga and other graphic eBooks.

Tap and hold on text to select a phrase automatically or drag over text to select a phrase. Once a phrase is selected, you enter the menu mode. Tap on the [Web Search] button.

Copy Text

Texts may be copied to clipboard. Please note that this function isn't available on manga and other graphic eBooks.

Mark Text

Mark phrases and sentences with your own comments and notes.

Tap and hold on text to select a phrase automatically or drag over text to select a phrase. Once a phrase is selected, you enter the menu mode. Tap on the [Mark] button to enter edit mode. Type in your comment (up to 300 characters) and tap on the [Save] button. You may also mark texts without any comment simply by tapping on the [Save] button without typing in anything.

*Please note that this function isn't available on manga and other graphic eBooks.

View Marks

Tap on the page to enter the menu mode and tap on the [Tool] button and tap on the [Bookmark] tab to view the list of the text you marked as well as pages you bookmarked.

Tap on the page to enter the menu mode and tap on the [A] button. Then tap on [Change Font Type] to select the font type you prefer.

*The button won't work on eBooks that are not formatted by the publisher for this option.

*It is also possible to change font types in settings menu under [Viewer > Fonts ].

*Fonts that haven't been installed on your device will be grayed out in the menu.

Auto Dimming

Enable Auto Dimming to save battery life by automatically dimming the screen when there is no activity for a while.

Tap on the the page to enter the menu mode and tap on the [Brightness] button. Then tap on [Auto Dimming] to turn it on or off.

The screen will be dimmed automatically after there is no activity for a length of time configured on your device.

Margin Settings

Configure margin width to suit your preference.

Tap on the page to enter the menu mode and tap on the [A] button. Select under [Margin] the margin width you prefer.

*The settings menu won't appear on eBooks that are not formatted by the publisher for this option.

[Narrow, Medium, Wide] are the 3 margin width to choose from. It's also possible to change margin width in settings menu under [Viewer > Margins].

[Default / Sepia / Low Contrast / Inverted Color] are the four page colors that are available to choose from.

*This option works on iOS 5 and later versions.
