メタルの神髄をしかと受け止めよ! 英国が生んだ究極のメタル・アクト、アイアン・メイデンの最新作! 今作『魂の書～ザ・ブック・オブ・ソウルズ～』は、2014年後半から、彼らの長年のパートナーでもあるケヴィン・"ケイヴマン"・シャーリーをプロデューサーに迎え、パリにてレコーディングが行われた作品。アルバムに全11曲収録だが全部で92分にも渡る大作となったため、アイアン・メイデン史上初の2枚組のスタジオ・アルバムという形でリリース。過去の作品と比較すると、ソングライティングにおいてより幅広く分担された作品だと言える。ベーシストでありバンドの創立メンバーでもあるスティーヴ・ハリスは7曲のソングライティングに関わっており、内6曲はギタリストとの共作、1曲は彼一人で書き上げた曲となっている。また、1984年に発表した『パワースレイヴ』以降初となる、ヴォーカリストのブルース・ディッキンソンの手による楽曲を2曲収録。内1曲は、アイアン・メイデンが今までレコーディングしてきた楽曲の中でも最も長い楽曲となっている。残りの2曲は、ブルース・ディッキンソンとギタリストのエイドリアン・スミスの共作によるもの。衝撃的なアルバム・ジャケットは、過去にもアイアン・メイデンの作品を手掛けていたマーク・ウィルキンソンが担当。解説・歌詞・対訳付。 ※本商品は全世界同日発売商品のため、商品のお届けは発売日当日以降になります。
