This version of "Led Zeppelin I" uses a replica of the original E-style jacket in slightly smaller "Tiny-Jacket" format printed with turquoise blue ink (just like the original UK first press), Red-Maroon label (not the green-orange design of the regular edition Atlantic presses of the time), and replica "Gramophone" obi (subject to change). Audio comes from the 1994 digital remasters. Part of a ten-album Led Zeppelin cardboard sleeve reissue series featuring the albums "Led Zeppelin," "Led Zeppelin II," "Led Zeppelin III," "Led Zeppelin IV," "Houses Of The Holy," "Physical Graffiti," "Presence ," "The Song Remains The Same," "In Through The Out Door," and "Coda."

I would definetly agree with the previous reviews; these versions are absolutely great! While the SHM-CD process does not improve upon every previously remaserted/released CD from all artists, these ones benefit from the process with flying colors. I also have the remasters (purchased from CDJapan) from a few years back and while they are indeed good, these new versions are by far the best ones yet. I bought the 1st 4 CD's and I could not be happier. Yes, they are a little expensive, but your ears will thank-you.
Amazing sound. Don't let the 1994 re-masters scare you as these SHM-CDs sound 1 million times better. They use the 2003/2005 Japanese paper sleeve versions. WELL DONE and worth every cent!!!
