Description

LOVE PSYCHEDELICO's awaited second album is their first one in a year since the mega hit of the first album! Many who listened to Love Psychedelico's music for the first time thought the lyrics were all in English. That's not surprising since vocalist KUMI's unique singing style inflects her Japanese with an English (rather British) accent, in addition to the lyrics that mix both languages to start out with. The duo's laid-back retro sound, right down to Naoki Sato's reedy organs and twangy guitars, is full of '60s pop culture references; mid '60s Beatles and Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Jefferson Airplane in particular. But make no mistake, their music is not a gumbo of nostalgia, homage and parody, instead, they have elevated their take on vintage sounds to an artform of its own with their first-class songwriting skills and KUMI's unforgettable vocals. "Love Psychedelic Orchestra" is their second album, and as the title suggests, they're a phenomenal two-piece orchestra to be reckoned with.

Amazing album! 5

This is definitely my favourite Love Psychedelico album, mainly because it has "Your Song" on which is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. It's weird to listen to because even when they're singing in Japanese it sounds very English so sometimes it's hard to tell. I thought a lot of their songs were in English but I couldn't make out the lyrics, I was very wrong.

They sounds very 60s pop and this works in their favour. It's more you can hear their influences than they are stealing anyone's sound. All the songs are well written and well performed. Highly recommended.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.

SACD (Super Audio CD)

SACDs are playable only on SACD players, and will not play on regular CD players. On the other hand, SACD Hybrid disc has a layer that is playable also on regular CD payers. Such titles are indicated as "Format: SACD-Hybrid" in item details page.
