マイルス・デイビス 生誕85年・没後20周年記念企画。鬼才アレンジャー、ギル・エヴァンスとともに制作した1960年の名盤『スケッチ・オブ・スペイン』をモチーフに、数々のブルーノート・レーベルでのプロジェクトを成功させたボブ・ベルデンが制作した現代版『スケチ・オブ・スペイン』。チック・コリア、ジョン・スコフィールド、ロン・カーター、ジャック・ディジョネット等、マイルスにゆかりのある大物アーチストたちが集結。ジャズ系アーティストに加え、ニーニョ・ホセロ、ホルヘ・パルド等のフラメンコ・アーティストやゴンサロ・ルバルカバ等のキューバン・ミュージック・アーティストも参加。『スケッチ・オブ・スペイン』で収録された「アランフェス協奏曲」の再演も話題。
