3rdフルアルバム『盗作』がヒットチャートを駆け上り、"ヨルシカ"の存在と音楽がさらに広く知られることとなった2020年。2021年1月、早くも新作のリリースが決定! 本作は"5曲収録されたCDが入っている"[Type A]と、デザインや歌詞カードなどのパッケージが全く同じで"CDのないCD"というメディアアート作品として、中身 (音源メディア)が空の商品[Type B]の2形態で発売。サブスクリプションサービスなどで気軽に音楽を楽しめるデジタル時代となった今、世界観が投影されたパッケージにも訴求力を持つヨルシカならではの作品形態。Type Aは、すでに大成建設のCMに起用されOAされている「春泥棒」は発表直後からリリース希望が殺到していた楽曲。「花に亡霊」「夜行」が主題歌/挿入歌となった映画『泣きたい私は猫をかぶる』でエンディングに流れた「嘘月」、TBS系『NEWS23』エンディングテーマに起用された「風を食む」に加え、新曲「強盗と花束」とインスト楽曲「創作」を含む、"春"をテーマにした全5曲収録。スリーブケース仕様・3Pケース・歌詞カード・イラストカード封入。
