アルバム『相愛性理論』、『愛迷エレジー』に続く、DECO＊27が綴る3つ目の愛のカタチ! 高校3年生の春、お互い初めてとなる恋に落ちた男の子・紅季(コウキ)くんと、女の子・糸織(シオリ)ちゃんの2人が、一緒に過ごした1年間(=12ヶ月)の軌跡を、その月毎に起こった様々な出来事とともに唄で描く全12編で構成された珠玉のラブ・ストーリー。アルバムから先行する形でシングルカットされた第一弾『ライトラグ』では、誰もが持つ思い出を呼び覚ますような、花火をモチーフとした夏の爽やかさと切なさを表現。そして、第二弾となる『エゴママ / 恋距離遠愛』では、自分と相手のどちらかを優先すべきなのかという自他愛と利他愛の葛藤を激しいロック・ナンバーで描くとともに、冬の訪れと同時にお互い離れてしまった距離、それを少しずつ埋めるかのように想いを馳せる気持ちをミドル・バラードで表現した。アルバムでも新曲に豪華なゲスト・ボーカル陣を迎え、それぞれの唄を通じて愛のメッセージを届ける意欲作。
