For me, this is one of the most important albums in pop music. When you hear it, you get the impression that the band is on the mightiest rise of creative forces ... Oh well. Listen to Paul's bass in "Something" ... And the vocals in "Because" ... When the album ends, you feel a bit deceived - because it all just started.

First off, this is NOT an audiophile review. I am reviewing this release from a purely aesthetic point of view. This ABBEY ROAD mini LP SHM-CD is excellent! The laminated mini LP cover is very well done. As the IN MONO box did not include The final 3 albums released by The Beatles, it's great to finally have Mini LPs of all the UK albums released during their active years (sans "A Collection of Beatles Oldies."). The one flaw many of the mini LPs in this set unfortunately feature is not an issue with this release. The title on the spine is flawless. This encore release features a resealable outer sleeve with a blue sticker (as opposed to the 1st pressing red sticker), a nice OBI, the 2009 booklet identical to the one released with the digipak version, and an additional booklet with song lyrics in English. Also included is a rice paper sleeve and the reproduced inner black sleeve to house the disc itself, as it was with the original UK-released album. The actual disc features a reproduced APPLE label. This is an excellent collectable!
As one of the people who have actually heard these SHM-CDS [NOT a per release comment] and all I can say is WOW!!! These are so much better than the 2009 remasters. i bought and have heard ALL of them now. Yes these are louder but also cleaner and clearer. I started with Sargent Peppers and then I bought ABBEY ROAD , etc...Beware of false reviews from people who visit and believe the Steve Hoffman web site's. These Beatle SHM-CDS are worth every YEN.
