長らく廃盤になっており中古市場を賑わしているような名盤、稀少盤、レア盤を探してお届けする"リクエスト復刻"シリーズがスタート! 今作は1990年にサムシンエルス(当時の東芝EMI原盤)から発売されたピアノ・トリオで、スタンダ－ドを多く含むロマンティックなアルバム。日本原盤のためオリジナルCD以外では世界的にも発売されたことがなく、現在帯付きのオリジナルCDは高値で取引されており、レア盤紹介本にも掲載されている。アルバムの人気の理由は哀愁のメロディを持つ1曲目「バラッズ・フォー・ザ・ビースト」の魅力にある。"わずか5分の演奏で一つの恋を語り尽くす"(by「幻のCD廃盤/レア盤コレクション」)というような胸キュンの名曲だ。タイトルの『カサブランカ』は、かの有名な映画から。もちろんこのアルバムには、主題歌「時の過ぎるまま(As Time Goes By)」が収録されている。オリジナルには未収録の「マイ・ファニー・ヴァレンタイン」(世界初登場)を追加。紙ジャケット仕様。HQCD、24ビット・リマスタリング。帯も可能な限り元の形で復刻。録音: 1989年8月3、4日
