Description

上原多香子、映画初主演作! 鳥取県・三朝温泉を舞台に、故郷に希望の光を灯す主人公を好演。松田美由紀、松方弘樹、中澤裕子、岩佐真悠子など豪華共演陣! 島田朋子は東京のデザイン事務所で働いていたが、不景気の波によってリストラされてしまい、次の職が見つかるまで田舎へ戻ることにした。朋子の実家は、かつて温泉街として栄えた鳥取県の三朝町で、老舗の旅館・大橋を経営している。朋子は5年ぶりに三朝へ帰ったが、朋子に想いを寄せる幼馴染で大橋の板前・圭太が話すように、町に以前のような活気は無く廃れ、大橋も例外ではなかった。そんな折、大阪で結婚生活を送っていた朋子の姉・美穂子が、夫と離婚するといって突然戻ってきたが、その矢先に朋子の父・和夫が病で倒れてしまう。智子の母・祥子は、自分が旦那として和夫の役目を果たし、美穂子に若女将としてやってほしいと考えるが、美穂子はそんな親の想いもあっさり断ち、夫のもとへと帰ってしまう。なかなか復興が上手くいかない中、朋子は圭太や友人たちと町興しのイベントを計画する。デザイナーの夢が諦めきれない智子、三朝温泉の復興に奮起する友人たち、そして大橋旅館の行く末はいかに・・・。
