[キング・ヴィンテージ・ジャズ・コレクターズ・エディション] 1965年の「モダン・パンチ・フォー・ユー」に続く企画アルバム。1960年代のアメリカで流行したアメリアッチは、米国南部からメキシコに顕著なラテン系ソウル音楽を取り入れたポップスで、日本をはじめ世界中に広まった。ハープ・アルバートとティファナ・ブラスなどが代表的アーティストだが、そのアメリアッチのテイストを取り入れ、歌謡曲などをジャズで演奏した作品集。白木秀雄クインテット、猪俣猛とウェスト・ライナーズの演奏で、古き良き昭和を思い起こさせる。
