講談社「月刊アフタヌーン」で1997年より、約7年に渡り連載された弐瓶勉原作の人気コミック「BLAME!」がフルCGによる映像化決定!! 独特の世界観を持つ作品で、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジア各国でも発売されており、世界的人気を誇る。長編映画化の企画進行に先駆けて、プロローグ映像を作成、オリジナルフィギュア付きDVDとして発売。監督にはCM、PV、映画等幅広い分野で活躍中の渡辺誠之、クリエイティブディレクターには「イノセンス」「メトロポリス」等のCGで手腕を発揮した篠崎亨を起用。制作はジーニーズアニメーションスタジオと、プロダクションI.Gが担当!! 2バージョン同時発売。フィギュアは主人公の霧亥と、ファンの間で人気の高いサナカンの2種。原型師は、原作者・弐瓶勉が自ら抜擢。こちらの「霧亥(Killy)」は初田晃一郎氏が担当。
