2012年8月、前身バンドのベース脱退を契機にバンド名をThe Rougesとしてライヴ活動を開始。メンバーは、ぱぁ子(Dr、MainVo)、ひよこ(G、Vo)、ゆいちゃん(Ba、Vo)という人を食ったような名前だが、その通り、チープな演奏ながらポップセンス抜群な正しくB級ポップスの最高峰とも言うべきサウンドをかき鳴らす。ド派手なルックスと破天荒なステージングが噂を呼び、各ライヴハウスで大暴れしている。今回初音源となる1st ミニアルバムは、全6曲ひたすらキャッチーでひたすら覚えやすい珠玉の作品。正しく金太郎飴の如くどこを切ってもスィートなバブルガムポップの洪水!60'sガールズポップのキュートさと70'sパワーポップのブレンド具合が絶妙で、こういうのをセンスの塊と人は呼びます。反則技スレスレの「やったもん勝ち」的な突き抜けたセンスであります。B級なのに王道、ポップなのに荒っぽい、この相反した要素を簡単にやってのけるセンスこそ、The Rougesの真骨頂!そしてこの全国総コスプレ時代の現代においてもド派手すぎるルックスも驚異的であります。写真はandymori等も手掛ける佐藤哲郎氏撮影によるもの。被写体として「非常に絵になる」キャラクター性も非常にユニークなNEW COMERの登場です!
