[あの頃映画 松竹DVDコレクション] シリーズ第4弾。ヒノキオと少年たちが織り成す、感動<ロボット>ファンタジー――自由自在に動かすことのできる遠隔操作ロボット"ヒノキオ"で、学校に行った孤独な少年サトル。ロボットを通し、サトルと少年たちが見つけたものは・・・。突然の事故で、母サユリ(原田美枝子)を亡くした少年・岩本サトル(本多奏多)は、ショックからリハビリを拒否し、車椅子で部屋に引きこもる生活をしていた。サトルの父で技術者の薫(中村雅俊)は、そんな息子を心配し、自ら開発したロボット【H-603】を与える。遠隔操作で自由自在に動くロボットを操作し、サトルは1年ぶりに学校に通い始める。サトルのロボットは材料にヒノキが使われていることから、"ヒノキオ"と命名される。ふとしたきっかけでガキ大将のジュン(多部未華子)らと仲良くなったヒノキオ(=サトル)は、友情を知り、少しずつ心を開いていくのだが・・・。
