This album uplifts and inspires. I've had it since it's release and still listen to it regularly. It's got a nice mix of styles while still being unmistakably a Sugizo work. It's more mellow than "Truth?" but there's plenty to work with if you're in the mood to rock out.

Customer Reviews
It's no surprise that SUGIZO is able to come up with absolutely gorgeous music. C:LEAR is one of his greatest achievements, with a blend of rock and experimentation that could make almost anyone stop and listen to the beauty that this album has to offer. SUGIZO is one of those artists who breaks down the barriers in the music world, and creates something exciting and new. He's not afraid to demonstrate his political ideas an opinions, such as in his hit song, "No More Machine Guns Play the Guitar". In other songs, such as "Initiation", SUGIZO uses his talents in experimentation to create an absolutely passionate and heart-warming song. Even for someone like me, who is passionate about heavy japanese-rock and visual-kei, C:LEAR is an absolute joy. Possibly the best money i have spent yet. If you're either into heavy rock or soft melodies, this album is lierally perfect for you. Buy it.
C:LEAR is simply outstanding. It's easy to write SUGIZO's solo work off, but it would be a big mistake to do so. C:LEAR doesn't have the same highly experimental nature as Truth? but still maintains the seemingly seamless mixing of genres, powerful lyrics and mind-blowing composition. Conceptually it is very much post-truth: an exploration of greater themes (with anti-war messages) and musically slicker (which is not to say better). It also features SUGIZO's vocals more prominently. If you're looking for something generic, this isn't it, but songs like SWEET and Dear LIFE are certainly listenable even if you don't like the aesthetic of more experimental songs like Kairai, RISE or PLUTO. SUGIZO expands musical horizons and really pulls it off. I will never get sick of this album. It's one of my favourites. SUGIZO's music is just mind-blowing.
