neolog Wonderful and Inspiring 5

This is a must have for any Malice Mizer fan. A great visual and sonant show, with a pure v-k sense. There are 4 different outfits for each band member; something like going from dark leather > classic drama > pop glitter > sky "fairy" creatures.

Beautiful and elegant. 5

The Merveilles concert is simply wonderful, and a must-have for any fan of Malice Mizer or Gackt. The visuals are stunning, and I highly recommend watching this on a high quality TV set in the dark... some of their (in my opinion) best songs are included in this live, such as Illuminati, Gekka no Yasoukyoku, Ju Te Veux, and of course the beautiful finale of Le Ciel.

Everything about this video screams perfection and beauty. if you haven't seen it, watch it!! The DVD visuals are much more crisp than the VHS version, and well worth the price.

I loved this live. I suggest that if you are a hardcore Malice Mizer fan,and enjoyed the Gackt era,you will love this live. My favorite live performance of all has to be Le Ciel,and you'll see why.

MANA IS GOD 5

This DVD is one of the best live performances from Malice Mizer. The columbia records era (with Gackt). My favourite songs are: "S-concious", "Illuminatti", "syunikiss", "Gekka no yasoukyoku", "Belle air", "<<8>>", "au revoir" and "Le ciel". Beautiful art. Perfect music. I love it!!!!!

Time well spent 4

I had no idea what to expect from Malice Mizer on stage. Well, they certainly took a lot of effort, time (and money, probably) to create this show. An entire "building" as stage prop, extreme visual costumes, and a lovely show.

This is Tour '98 Merveilles, and features many songs from that album. There were a few songs I didn't easily recognize, but I'm not a total Malice Mizer nut, so forgive me. =)

It was enjoyable all the same. At first they come on stage in leather-like costumes and perform S-Conscious and Illuminati (with many many flashes...made my head hurt the first time, and that NEVER happens to me whilst watching a DVD), and they do a silent theatrical interlude. Then they re-appear in theatrical medieval costumes and perform a few songs, and around the ending they switch costumes again. It's funny to note that Gackt wears an outfit that makes him look A LOT like "Squall" from the game Final Fantasy VIII. And since this was from 1998 and Final Fantasy VII was released in 1997... =)

I think I will need a few more views in order to know which songs are exactly on the setlist (I do have their albums and single-only songs), but I recommend this.

Simply Amazing! 5

Ginger (see below) is absolutly right! I watched this DVD twice in a row and was even more amazed the second time through! Malice Mizer puts on an AMAZING live performance!

The only flaw is the not-so-great title menus, but that can be easily overlooked by the content.

A must buy for ANY jrock fan!!! ^_^

I love Malice Mizer, so I must blame a bit this dvd edition; it's extremely poor, there aren't extras, menus are quite uncomfortable. Of course I think that this is a must have for all Malice Mizer's fans, but it's just a video, and it can be easly found on the net without pay this quite high price.

The title says it all: not only for the awesome quality of Malice Mizer's songs from "Merveilles" but also the scenery, audio mixing and camera works are the closest things to perfection I've ever seen, get it at any cost!
