Sakura Taisen V - Vocal Collection 5

I love this CD, it was definitly worth buying. The opening theme is very different from the Paris Kagekidan and the Teikou Kagedidan but good. Each one of the girls songs has its own unique feel to it. Gemini's has a western feel to it while Saggitta's has an African American spiritual feel to it. Rikaritta's has a Mexican flare and Diana's has this soft soothing feel. Last but not least there's Subaru's song that has a sad and kind of mysterious feel to it. In all each one of the girls songs emphizes each girls character. From Gemini and her text book cowboy look to Subaru who (in the begining)defines the word ambiguous. So for all you Sakura Taisen fans out there this is a must have.

This is the vocal soundtrack for the Sakura Taisen 5 Saraba Itoshiki Hito yo game. I was very intrigued by the newest Kageki-dan and since I didn't have the game, I thought I'd get the soundtrack and see how the girls sounded. At first, I wasn't too too impressed although I did like the sound and feel of the soundtrack; it's different from the other game soundtracks - more modern and jazzier sounding. A couple of listens later, this startetd to really grow on me. I like is how stylized the songs are; they seem to focus a little more on capturing genres rather the girls' personality. Basically, this follows the same format as the other vocal collections; patriotic opening theme, solo for each girl and closing girl song. Personally, I like this more than the Paris soundtrack but less than the Teigeki soundtracks. At any rate, I think this worth giving a listen to.

Sakura Taisen V 4

As the legacy of Sakura Wars goes on the new members of the New York fighting troup are ready and able to perform. Being the first album of the new Hoshigumi they did pretty well. In my option no one had a bad song and everyone fit there character songs excellently. Very enjoyable to listen to and it was a joy to listen to songs reflecting different styles of music. A great buy for a veteran Sakura Wars fan!

Let's Welcome the New York Kagekidan 5

This is the vocal collection of the newest game installment of Sakura Wars. The Sakura Wars V ~Farewell My Loved One~. This game features an all new cast, that set their place in New York, hence: New York Kagekidan!

Just like the previous vocal collection of Sakura Wars game, this CD headlines on the characters, filled with intro and outro themes, along with amazing solo performances of the character's image songs, and two insert songs which are as wonderful.

The New York cast has proven to be superb in vocal quality, just like the Teito and Paris one. Gemini Sunrise, Sagiitta Weinberg, Rikaritta Aries, Diana Caprice and Subaru Kujou has proven their best both in team and solo numbers.

The intro theme "Chijou no Senshi" is an awesome jazzy patriotic US sounding song, that immediately sets its place among the two famous Sakura Wars intros: "Gekitei" and "Mihata no Moto ni". The ending theme "Kiss Me Sweet" is a very gorgeous song, that blows your mind and closes the album with a beauty end.

Simply saying, this album IS astonishing. Like all Sakura Wars vocal collection, this is a MUST BUY... cause they just sound so good, even when they're performed by a whole new cast!

SACD (Super Audio CD)

SACDs are playable only on SACD players, and will not play on regular CD players. On the other hand, SACD Hybrid disc has a layer that is playable also on regular CD payers. Such titles are indicated as "Format: SACD-Hybrid" in item details page.
