斉藤和義、前作「風の果てまで」からおよそ2年半振り、19枚目のオリジナルアルバムをリリース!! 収録内容は先行配信シングル「始まりのサンセット」を含む全11曲収録で、今作においても1人多重録音にてほとんどの曲を制作。ドラムマシンとして往年の名機と言われる「LINN DRUM」や同じくリズムマシンとしての名機「Roland TR-808」やシンセサイザーをシンクロさせ、多彩な機材を駆使してレコーディングされた新曲群はもちろん、藤原さくらがゲストコーラスとして参加していたり、2015年に鈴木雅之に作詞・作曲・プロデュースしたダンサブルなロックチューン「純愛」をセルフカバー収録しているなど注目すべきところ多数。「青空ばかり」は"マイナビ2019 キミのすべて編"タイアップソングに決定!
