作品作りへこだわり続けて来たabsentmindednessのシングルは、前代未聞の小説&映画付き。同郷である新進気鋭の作家・石本ひろゆきが、「星の行方」を短編小説化。そして、石本の友人であるインディーズ映画監督・清水雅人が、その小説を原作に短編映画を制作。DVDにはその短編映画を収録。ジャケットには原作となった短編小説が封入。CDには、"神曲"と呼び声の高い「星の行方」を筆頭に、幻のデビューシングル「LOST WORLD e.p.」のC/Wとして収録され、オリジナルアルバムには未収録の「oasis」の現メンバー再録音バージョンや新曲「くちぐせ。」の3曲を収録。
