This album is a masterpiece. Some tracks are covers of her old songs, but the new arrangements are amazing. The track order is very good, the songs follow each other very well. Kono yo no kagiri is a great and dramatical closer. If you like orchestrated music, this album is just for you. Ringo makes great music with Neko Saito and her singing is very unique and emotional.

I've been a fan of Ringo and her group Tokyo Jihen for years, and she often changes direction and tries new things. With Heisei Fuzoku she has produced by far her bravest, and best work to date. It's eclectic stuff, with electronica, jazz, orchestral, big band, and rock flowing into each other to create an amazing album. This is absolutely essential listening, truly a masterpiece.
