6社合同企画の大ヒットシリーズ! 徳間ジャパン編登場!! ベストな選曲と書下ろしの解説付、ゴールデンベストの名に相応しい1枚。 RVC(現BMGビクター)よりシングル「Hey I Love You」でLAZYのミッシェルとプロデビュー。「赤頭巾ちゃん御用心」が大ヒットし、約4年間にわたりバンドとして活躍。1981年LAZYのアルバム「宇宙船地球号」や「燃えつきた青春」が作品、演奏力ともに高い評価を受けるが、音楽的な方向性の違いから5月31日バンドは解散。徳間ジャパンより「今日を生きよう」でソロデビュー。1985年コロムビア移籍。1989年ドラゴンボールZのTV主題歌「CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA」が大ヒットし、アニメ歌手として高い評価を受ける。1998年、LAZYが17年ぶりに再結成し、復活第1弾「Ultra High」(TBS系「ウルトラマン・ダイナ」ED曲)をリリースしている。
