The Art of Losing Touch was an unexpected surprise. I had not already heard "Praise" or "Clean", so I literally had no idea what to expect or if I'd like it. Well, I ended up loving it. For started, TAOLT sounds very clean and cohesive. The recording quality is excellent and the band sounds very together and comfortable with their style. Also, with 15 tracks the album is at a desirable length. I like every single song on the album, but my favorites are Endless, Drip, Nervous to Sleep, and Escape from the Audio Mess. Vocally Ken sounds awesome. He puts so much energy into his performance, the same energy you see when he sings live. His lyrics on Endless, On My Tide, and Bit of Life are emotional and personal, while completely entertaining on Nervous to Sleep (very funny song), In Vertigo, and Escape from the Audio Mess. Praise was a good choice for a single, as it captures the excitement and freshness of this album. In total, there is nothing about the album I can complain about. Even though I live overseas, I absolutely consider TAOLT the best album release of 2004. Get it!

A wonderfully composed album by none other than the refreshingly rocking FAKE? The entire cd is an absolute treat, songs lyrically witty and worthy for earcandy. Personal favorites include Clean, Escape the audio mess, and Drip.
