ゆずの2人が紡ぎ出すアイデアの結晶、新しい彩りに満ち溢れた次なるステージ「WONDERFUL WORLD」。2年3ヶ月ぶりの待望の最新アルバム遂に完成!! 最新シングル「ストーリー」(TOYOTA「ラクティス」CMソング)、バイオリニスト葉加瀬太郎とのコラボレーションシングル「春風」、映画『しゃべれども しゃべれども』サウンドトラックシングル(限定盤)「明日天気になぁれ」を含む全15曲を収録。アルバムのCover Artは、新進気鋭注目のフラワーアーティスト東信(あずままこと)が担当。今回のアルバムジャケットの為に「WONDERFUL WORLD」をテーマにした東信のオブジェを中心とするグリーンの中で撮影が行われ、新鮮でスケール感溢れるメインビジュアルが完成。アルバムタイトル曲「ワンダフルワールド」は、宮崎駿作品の音楽監督であり、世界的なプロデューサー久石譲が担当。70人にも及ぶフルオーケストラと、ゆずのアコースティックサウンドが見事に融合した壮大な屈指の名曲。聞く人の心に深く響く、切なくも生きる力を与えてくれる珠玉のバラード「つぶやき」。「うまく言えない」は、トッププロデューサー亀田誠治が担当。ゆずの名曲バラード「いつか」を彷彿とさせる王道ラブソング。また「凸凹」(デコボコ)は、若手注目のプロデューサー蔦谷好位置を迎え、疾走感溢れるデジタルロックサウンドが完成。そして「おでかけサンバ」は、ゆず2人のアコースティックギターを軸とした、ゆず流サンバサウンド。つい口ずさみ踊り出してしまう、聴いた人全てを楽しくさせるキャッチーな1曲。
