SHOUNEN HEART

This is simply an excellent Home Made Kazoku single. Shounen Heart, the single song, is an extremely fun, upbeat, and jazzy hip-hop/funk piece with wonderful lyrics. For those familiar with the series Eureka Seven, it fits the mood like the thumb (it serve as the series's second opening song). The B-sides are an instrumental version of Shounen Heart and a song entitled Sora to Umi no Deau Tokoro. I've never been much for instrumental versions of J-whatever songs, so I don't care for the instrumental Shounen Heart, but Sora to Umi is a fantastic song. It's more chill and laid-back than Shounen Heart but is still upbeat compared to say, You'll Be Alright (another single by the same band). Overall, the Shounen Heart single contains two amazing songs that I can (and do) listen to over and over again. If you ever feel like cheering yourself up, or if you're simply feeling happy and want to listen to something that has a similar feel, popping in HMK will almost always do the job, and this single is no exception. These guys are one of my favorites on the scene - don't miss out!

I love this single. I wish there was more songs on it. It's extremely upbeat and catchy. Shounen no haato (a boy's heart) is very fun and makes you wanna dance. I love rap with saxaphone in it! The instrumental at the end is good too. Sora to Umi no Deau Tokoro (the place where the sky and the ocean meet) is not as fast, but its got a nice beat, and it offsets Shounen no haato very well. (Buy it!)
