BUMP OF CHICKENの2012年第1弾リリースとなるニュー・シングル!! 『グッドラック』は、2012年1月21日より全国東宝系にて公開される3D映画『ALWAYS 三丁目の夕日 '64(ろくじゅうよん)』の主題歌として書き下ろされた楽曲。BUMP OF CHICKENの楽曲が『ALWAYS 三丁目の夕日』シリーズの主題歌に起用されるのは、シリーズ第2作『ALWAYS 続・三丁目の夕日』の主題歌『花の名』から2作連続となり、今回の主題歌提供も、山崎貴監督からの熱烈なオファーによって実現したコラボレーション。前作『花の名』とはまた違った輝きを放つこの『グッドラック』が、国民的大ヒット映画第3弾のエンディングを見事に彩る。
