Frienger [CD+DVD]

Ai Otsuka has come back with another up beat song. Frienger makes for a much more rewarding listen then many of the previous up tempo offerings from Ai Otsuka. The song is very well written and has lots of punch and sparkle that keep it from just being another pop/rock song. The only slight failing with this song is that, unlike it's peers, it fails to be hugely memorable. The main riff sticks in your head well, but the rest of the song lacks consistancy. Although this probably won't be remembered as long as "happy days" or "sakuranbo" it is probably a better written song, and is worth a listen to any Ai Otsuka fan. On top of all of that it comes with a great b-side that, ironically, is more catchy than "Frienger"! Then on the DVD you get the, incredibly tacky, but very fun video for the a-side. And afterall, that's all you really should expect from Ai Otsuka, good quality fun music. In that respect this is a fantastic and very complete offering. A single with absolutely no filler at all!

I like this song very much, it's so cute and catchy ! It's by now my favourite Ai's 2006 song. The PV is really cute too.

Hi, it's a very good Single. It makes fun to hear and see. It's the funny sound likes Sakuranbo, Smily and others. But the best is, it give subtitle in japanese and taiwanese on the dvd. Enjoy it, I think it's with Sakuranbo the best from her...Thank's Ai Otsuka
