[AOR CITYシリーズ第2弾] Light Mellowで知られる金澤寿和氏の監修で、AOR名盤・レア盤をお求めやすい千円で提供。シリーズのアートワークはイラスト界の巨匠・永井博氏。 本作は2ndアルバムにあたる。なんと言っても必殺ファンク・チューン「ファンキン・フォー・ジャマイカ」がハイライト。高揚感あふれるトランペットのオープニングで幕を開ける歌モノで、当時全米R&Bシングル1位を獲得。その後もカヴァーやサンプリングなどでたびたび使用され、ダンス・クラシックとして今も愛されている。レコーディングには、レーベルの首領、D・グルーシン(p)、オマー・ハキム(ds)らが参加している。(1980年作品) 新規ライナーノーツ。 ※2018年12月31日までの期間生産限定盤
